Case Study

Requirement:

As part of the DTI the Manufacturing Advisory Service supports and advises to the manufacturing industry across the United Kingdom. MAS required an online application which could be used by companies as a means to 'diagnose' any problems or areas for change. After approaching Creative Jar and securing the relationship we were tasked with building this online solution.

Planning:

Careful planning was critical to make the solution a success. Although the core engine was to be based on our 'Quiz Builder' application, the logic, maths and analytical output was significantly different. Detailed workshops assisted our development and project management team to produce a thorough functional and technical specification for the .NET programmers to work from.

Although design was not a major component of this application, the solution needed to be engaging and user friendly to accompany the high technical delivery.

Technical Development:

Built entirely in .NET, the application extended out the features of our 'Quiz Builder' software with tailored modules and reporting. Users logged in and undertook a lengthy business assessment questionnaire which accessed logic parameters outputting a highly detailed report and visual graphs as an assessment on their organisation.

Highly Effective:

MAS praised our rapid delivery and understanding of their requirements. The solution has and continues to be used by thousands of companies across the UK. With future plans to deliver as a CD-Rom the 'Lean Diagnostic' application is a vital tool for the manufacturing industry.
