Case Study
Requirement:
As the fastest and largest Ebay store, Pay Per Drop developed a business around parcel delivery for Ebay sellers and broader customers. To better service their customer base and reach into worldwide deliveries an innovative website was required. The website would integrate with a third-party post code look-up along with complex delivery rules and payment gateways.
Creative:
After a variety of design propositions, the eventual balance between unique sector style and utmost usability for the clients was struck with what is a beautiful and highly effective website solution. The design lends itself to interchangeable backgrounds to accompany seasons and promotions.
Technical:
Whilst this is effectively a single page site, there are thousands of lines of code and therefore a very complex dynamic website. Pushing the boundaries of user experience and the post code look-up application which needed to be customised just to meet our exacting requirements, the website has been a great success for our web development team who worked so diligently in the face of every changing scope. Built in ASP and using AJAX on the front end, users can now sign-up and place multiple deliveries worldwide from a single page solution.
The website is phase one of what will be a much larger integrated solution linked into a SharePoint backend for rule management and related courier service tools, delivered by our sister company Creative Sharepoint. The site will also be migrated over to .NET.
A Huge Success:
Far exceeding clients' expectations, the website is already being re-worked for global deployment in multiple languages and currencies. A broader integrated marketing strategy is also being worked on for 'widgets' and e-marketing campaigns.
